We are excited to announce that HAGAN is releasing both a new ski and binding this winter! The Boost 105 Ski and FR 15 Binding are designed to push the level of touring performance in the freeride realm. This is both historic and revolutionary product development for Hagan, as it the widest ski and highest release range binding we have ever offered. As the sport of freeriede skiing has evolved to steeper, bigger, and faster terrain, equipment, and in particular downhill reliability, has fallen behind. Striving to innovate, we made it our goal to improve upon these performance compromises that have existed in the freeride space. This is the result. 100 years of development in the making. Everything we have learned about how ski and binding construction, shape, and flex influence one another and interact with the demands of touring terrain, has led us to the production of this setup: uncompromising and capable of performing in the deepest, steepest, and meatiest of terrain, redefining the standard of what it means to freeride in the backcountry.
1. The Boost 105 is the widest ski Hagan has ever engineered, and the FR 15 the binding with the greatest release values (7-15 adjusable DIN) we (in partnership with ATK) have produced.
2. Both products reshape what it means to be a freeride touring set up, enabling efficient access to even the most extreme terrain, and unparalleled stability and reliability in the most demanding descents. Allow skiers to push the boundaries of freeride touring.

As mentioned previously, this is the widest ski we have manufactured. Using Hagan's 100 years of development know how, Hagan was able to engineer agility and maneuverability into a wide ski that retains stability at high speeds and in steep terrain.
The performance on the ski slopes surprised Hagan's own developers and testers. The innovative construction with Kevlar instead of carbon in combination with the poplar/karuba mixed core further strengthens these properties.

The FR 15 stands alone in the freeride pin binding industry, with an adjustable release toe piece. Adjustable release values have been around forever on pin bindings, however until now, adjustment has only taken place within the heel piece. Historically, toe pieces have been set at a fixed median release value, causing the binding to balance the load force unevenly. Subsequently, when the binding release is set lower than the median value of the range, which lowers the release in the rear, the toe piece spring is primarily responsible for managing the forces and security of the boot. When the release is set higher than the median value of the range, the opposite occurs, and the rear supports most of the load. This means the binding is vulnerable to variable loading between the toe and rear, and the boot can release when experiencing a force at or above the median value of the release range, despite the binding being set to release at a higher DIN than the median. The FR 15 allows the binding to balance the load evenly, putting less strain on a single part of the binding, and ultimately creating a binding with a truly precise release.
The FR15 includes the familiar EVO brake system that automatically engages and disengages when the binding is moved from ski to walk mode accordingly. Furthermore, the FR15 includes an integrated freeride spacer to create even more responsiveness and power from the binding and boot interface, and 25 mm of adjustment.
ATK is the gold standard in touring bindings, and the FR15 is an ode to the exceptional engineering, durability, and reliability that ATK is known for.
