Rocky Mountain Outfitter

In 1976 Rocky Mountain Outfitter was founded by Don Scharfe in the heart of main street Kalispell, Montana. The goal was to provide the gear and knowledge for adventurers to enjoy the very things that drew him to the area - the iconic landscapes of Glacier National Park and the Bob Marshall Wilderness. 

In five decades, not a whole lot has changed. Though they are a business, they function more like a family, similar to Hagan. The goal has never been to turn a huge profit or become a mega-conglomerate, but serve the community and be the next best place people could go when they aren't outside. 

Now, under the ownership of longtime manager Jandy Cox, they continue to serve the Flathead Valley Community in the same manner, offering expert advice. trustworthy gear, and professional equipment service.
