Celestial Guides

Owned and operated by Mar Himmerich, Celestial Guides leads backcountry ski trips off the high remote rock and ridge systems north of Santa Fe Ski Area. Originally a backcountry telemark skier, Mar has been skiing in Sante Fe's backcountry since 1993.He provides year long tutelage in the three classic modes of alpinism: rock, ice, and snow locally in Santa Fe and southern Colorado. Mar aims to always be read y as a resource in terms of aquatinting people to the area, providing routes year-round, long cultivated through his explorations. Celestial Guides is about the mountain, changing with it and learning to deal gracefully with evanescent snow conditions on the mountains terms. We are proud to support Mar and his mission.
