Since its inception in 1999, Pro Ski and Mountain Service has been able to survive and thrive as a small specialty retail store in the foothill town of North Bend, WA and has slowly prospered into a refreshing option to the increasingly “pasteurized” retail environment. Pro Ski and Service believes that there is no need for a separation between a "ski" shop and a "backcountry" shop. Whether you are a first time skier trying on your very first alpine boot, or an experienced ski mountaineer preparing for your next international trip, it's all mountain culture to Pro Ski and Mountain Service. They have the equipment and knowledge to assist your needs. Driven by a love for the mountains, Martin Volken and his team of employees are some of the most knowledgeable and experienced in the industry. Ranging from IFMGA certified guides to AIARE curriculum creators and guide book authors, their passion for the outdoors is palpable as you stroll the shop with an espresso or beer from the in store cafe in hand.
