    High Performance for lighter skiers.

The Pin Up 8 EVO is made for HAGAN in partnership with ATK in Italy. HAGAN partnered with ATK, well respected for quality, craftsmanship and functionality, to bring what we feel are their best products to North America. The Pin Up 8 EVO is identical to the ATK RT8 EVO.

Introducing HAGAN EVO bindings, with automatic brake retraction! The EVO brake system is available on the new Core 12 EVO, Pin Up 8 EVO and Pin Up 10 EVO.

While the push pin system is effective and quite easy to operate (and still available with the lower cost Pure 8), the automatic brakes are easier. There is another advantage of the new brakes - and it is a big and important one. You can't forget to release the brakes on the descent.

Switching into descent mode automatically puts the brakes into "ready" mode. If you descend on the push pin version but forget to first push the pin to release the brakes ($#it happens) you will have carried up brakes that do absolutely nothing in case of a crash. With the Pin Up 8 EVO, the brakes are always ready to deploy in descent mode, no matter how distracted or forgetful you are.

    EVO benefits:

    • Easy one-handed operation. On other bindings you need to hold down the brakes with one hand while pushing a pin or turning the heel tower with the other.
    • Brake retraction for climbing is automatic when you step down. There is no need to push down the brakes with your hand.
    • Dual heel lifters mean no twisting to switch between flat, medium and high climbing heights
    • You can't forget to release the brakes for the descent!

The revolutionary Pin Up 8 Evo binding outperforms standard U-Spring tech bindings for a better skiing, more efficient, and hassle-free backcountry experience. Unlike other tech bindings, the brakes are ingeniously held in retracted position by a separate mechanism, not by the heel tower itself. So the heel tower is light, not having to be bulked up to hold down the brakes. The Pin Up 8 Evo combines several ingenuous performance innovations:

    • extremely solid boot/ski connection
    • no torsional movement
    • 20mm length adjustment
    • Elastic Response System
    • precise release and great descending feel

Don't need crampon mounts? Save 13 grams and $25. Just write "Remove the crampon mounts" in the notes section at checkout and I will remove the crampon mounts and refund you $25.

    • The 280 gram Pin Up 8 Evo – including length adjustment, brakes and crampon mounts – is very light, less than half the weight of alternatives. Other bindings touting low weight or price include neither brakes or crampon mounts.

The patented CAM heel system adjusts to impact forces, providing far better control, skiing precision and release than simple U Forks. The elastic response system in the heel ensures perfect flex of the ski during compression and excellent skiing performance. The heel piece can be turned in any direction. Step in is very easy.

The Pin Up 8 has three climbing positions.

Easy toe entry and quick and secure clamping is superior to standard tech bindings. The toe is designed for much easier step-in, even with older and worn boots.

The brake is equipped with an ELASTIC SLIDE on the pad in contact with the boot that keeps the lateral release value of the binding fixed. The brake arms are extra long with wide hooks to stop your skis quickly. Matching crampons easily slide into the crampon hooks when needed. All adjustments on the binding can be made with a standard Phillips screwdriver.

A 20 mm ADJUSTMENT PLATE is integrated in the heel part to assure a fast adjustment in case of boot substitution (up to 2 full sizes).

The Pin Up 8 Evo perfectly embodies Hagan's prime values: durability, performance, ease of use and value. The Pure binding combined with our Pure and Core series skis provides an outstanding touring package with extreme value.

If you are concerned whether the retention on the Pin Up 8 Evo can be adjusted low or high enough for you, please note that, as opposed to simple U-Spring bindings, which some say shouldn't be set at the extremes of their adjustment range, the CAM system on the Pin Up 8 Evo means it can be set right at 3 or 8 with no effect on function.
