  • Rachel Hebaus

Bio: Rachel Hebaus, originally from Lake Stevens Washington, moved to Colorado in 2021 to further develop her skill set in the mountains as a student of Business and Outdoor Leadership at Colorado Christian University. During her time in the program, she was introduced to the sport of trail running and quickly fell in love with running the local 14ers. Rachel placed 6th at her first race, Mount St. Helens 25k, the summer of 2022 and finished her season setting her first FKT on Mount Morrison local to where she is based in Golden, CO. Summer of 2023, she placed 4th at the Mount Si Hill climb near her hometown in Washington and logged a number of long days in the Tetons and front range of Colorado. Winter of 2023 she traded her heavy touring skis in for a light pair of skimo skis and started racing local Rocky Mountain Skimo events wrapping up the season with a 2nd place finish at Breckenridge 3 Peaks Individual. Rachel most recently finished top 10 at a number of mountain races in the U.S, set FKT records on Mount Labyrinth and Mt. Pennsylvania, and won UTMB Whistler 25k in November 2024. Eager to continue learning and growing, she has shifted her focus to her skimo training for the 2024/2025 season and is hopeful for what’s to come.

    Nicknames: Rach, Heboss

Favorite Ski Touring Spot: Berthoud or Jones Pass

Favorite Hagan Ski: I’m probably most excited to try the Ultra 65’s!

Favorite Treat: Huge fan of the Probar Bolt Raspberry Chews on ski training days (if I manage to keep them from freezing). When I’m not training, I’d have to say sour dough bread is one of my favorites!

Little Known Fact: I typically don’t listen to music while I’m training, but if I do it’s usually a mix of classical or acoustic/folk.
