The Hagan ULTRA Series is dedicated to lightness and speed, while maintaining reliability in challenging and technical terrain. In ’23-’24 the Ultra Series has been completely reengineered, to create skis with better durability and downhill performance, while still shedding weight. With a double "prepack" foil made of a fiberglass and carbon mixture, in addition to a continuous top layer of carbon, we have achieved just that: even lighter skis that have improved reliability, stability and durability. No stone has been left unturned, as we even changed the composition of our top coat to a glossy finish in order to help reduce weight. The Ultra 89 also received the Backline Unisex Touring Skis 80-90 Award.
FOR WHOM?
Our widest ski in the ULTRA Range, for all ski tourers who want something wider without having too much weight on their feet. With a waist width of 89 mm and a tailored shape for high-alpine terrain, the Ultra 89 is the perfect companion for all alpinists who are seeking out long powder turns. Perfect for advanced touring skiers and professionals who want to cover many vertical meters in the ascent, but enjoy the advantages of wider skis on the descent. This ski is made for big objectives.
SUITABLE FOR WHAT?
The model is suitable for steep and demanding terrain. Tested in the most difficult conditions, the Ultra 89 impresses with its smooth skiing and can be controlled at any time, even in challenging compact or icy snow. In fresh snow conditions, the new shovel geometry quickly gets the ULTRA 89 floating, so that nothing stands in the way of a perfect powder day.
